English as a Second Language (ESL) Program
Saint James School was Montgomery's independent school leader in implementing an English as a Second Language (ESL) program across all grade levels. For students whose primary language is not English, this service provides additional English instruction. Students in elementary, middle, and high school receive ESL tutoring from a certified instructor during the school day.
This program enhances students' understanding of the English language. As a result, classroom instruction in all disciplines is more meaningful and students adapt better to our college preparatory environment.
The ESL program for our international students enables students to excel academically and socially, thus enriching their Saint James School experience.
