Mrs. Cathy Pearson
Dean of Admissions
To discuss the International Application Process, please contact our Dean of Admissions, Cathy Pearson. Cathy has been a part of Saint James since 1973. She served as the Middle School Principal for 6 years and the Middle School Counselor for the 20 years prior to that. In addition to her administration roles, she also taught mathematics at Saint James School and at other previous schools. Cathy and her husband, Joel, are both graduates of Saint James School along with their two children, Nan and Hartley. Her sister was also a faculty member of Saint James School for over 30 years. Cathy is proud of her Saint James heritage and is eager to share her story and personal experiences with you!
Mrs. Kate Bartlett
Associate Dean of Admissions

Kate joined the Saint James family in August 2016 after serving many years working in Admissions and Recruitment in higher education. She grew up in a military family but calls Newnan, GA home. She earned a bachelors degree in public relations from Auburn University where she met her husband, Jack, who is a Montgomery native. She is currently writing her thesis to complete a Master in Liberal Arts degree from Auburn Montgomery. Her family welcomed a daughter, Frances, in May 2016. Kate is thrilled to work with prospective families and share the Saint James story!
Mrs. Laura Hassell
Please contact our Admissions Counselor, Laura Hassell, to discuss the application process. Laura has been on the Admissions Staff since July 2016. She and her husband, Lee, are both alumni of Saint James and have two children, Hunter and Michael, who are currently in the Kindergarten and 3rd grade programs. Laura graduated from The University of Alabama. Her mother, Zan Pappas, also worked in the admissions office at Saint James for many years. Laura enjoys connecting with new families and helping them through the admissions process.
