STJ Robotics Team Advances to Regional Competition
After 13 rounds of competition, the Saint James Robotics team’s personally designed and constructed robot took Third Place trophy in the B.E.S.T. Robotics Competition in Auburn on Oct. 18-19. The team now advances to the next level, the South's B.E.S.T. Robotics Competition on December 7- 8, where they will face 57 other teams from across the southeast.
In addition to the award for its robot’s performance, the team also took the First Place award for the Most Photogenic Robot, the First Place award for the CAD design notebook, and the Second Place award for best t-shirt.
Saint James School’s Robotics Team members are members are Duncan Blackwell, Shaun Lewis, Matthew Garnett, John Kim, Justin Lee, Justin Peifer, Allison Rutherford, Anna Siddiq, Jongwon Lee, Kathleen Cunningham, McLean Stewart, and Peter Wang.
