Commencement 2018

The Saint James Class of 2018 earned over $6.4million in college scholarships from universities and colleges coast to coast, and around the world. The class is filled with exemplars of a Saint James education - from academics to athletics to the arts, these alumni are destined for a bright future!

Commencement 2018 was filled with celebration for the graduates, faculty & student honorees, and for the Steineker family - in special recognition of their dedication and support of Saint James School since its founding in 1955.

Mr. Al Steineker iwas presented a gift in honor of his family's extraordinary devotion to Saint James School by Former Board Chairs, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miles, and Head of School, Dr. Larry McLemore.
Saint James 1998 Alumna, Anna Manasco, J.D., Ph.D. delivered an inspiring charge to the Class of 2018, encouraging the graduates to immediately embrace four principles: “(1) Always surround yourself with persons of integrity, kindness, and authenticity. (2) If you ever find that you are the smartest person in the room, change rooms. (3) Work hard, and more importantly, work smart. Anna Manasco, J.D., Ph.D., Saint James Class of 1998, delivered an inspiring Commencement Address to the graduating class.

Jake Hastings delivered a very thoughtful and very mindful Senior Address to his fellow graduates.
Mrs. Susan Atkins, Saint James Academic Dean, was presented the Melba B. Richardson Lifetime Achievement Award by Board of Trustees Chair, Mr. Barry Prim, and Head of School, Dr. Larry McLemore.
Mrs. Diane Buckner, Middle School Mathematics Teacher, was awarded the G. Stanley Frazer Faculty Award by Head of School, Dr. Larry McLemore.
Board of Trustees Chair, Mr. Barry Prim, presented Mitch Wilson the G. Stanley Frazer Student Award as selected by his peers.
