6th GRADE

6th Grade Supplies

  • Each student in 6th grade must supply their own:
    • Wired headphones/earbuds with a microphone
    • Stylus (optional)
    • All other school supplies will be provided by the school

  • All 6th grade textbooks and outside reading novels are provided by the school

7th GRADE

7th Grade Supplies

  • Each student in 7th grade must supply their own:

  • All 7th grade textbooks and outside reading novels are provided by the school

7th Grade Summer Reading

  • All 7th grade students should purchase and read Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. A set of study questions are attached in the 7th Grade Summer Reading List linked below - the questions are at the end of the list of books. In addition to Hatchet, each 7th grade student should select one additional book to read from the list as a second summer reading assignment.

8th GRADE

8th Grade Supplies

  • Each student in 8th grade must supply their own:
    • TI83 or 84 calculator* (this calculator will be used throughout high school)
    • Wired headphones/earbuds with a microphone
    • Stylus (optional)
    • All other school supplies will be provided by the school
  • ​*8th grade students must have their calculator by the first full week of school

8th Grade Textbooks

  • All 8th grade textbooks and outside reading novels are provided by the school except for the Algebra I & Advanced Algebra I textbook
  • Students must purchase their own textbook for Algebra 1 & Advanced Algebra 1 per this ISBN information: Algebra I, 2010, Glencoe McGraw- Hill, ISBN: 978-0-07-888480-1

8th Grade Summer Reading

All 8th grade students are assigned an English summer reading book and a History summer reading book. Students in Advanced US History are assigned two summer reading books in addition to their English summer reading. Please see instructions below and find assignment questions in the PDF linked below.

  • English 8 students: Choose a novel from the 8th grade approved reading list PDF below
  • Advanced English students: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain
  • US History students: A Break with Charity by Ann Rinaldi
  • Advanced US History students: In addition to A Break with Charity, students will also read Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson
