- Meagan Ashner, 2014
is entering her senior year at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, majoring in Communication and minoring in Professional Writing and Rhetoric. She just completed a Marketing and Comunications internship at AARP in Washington, D.C.
- Hakan Sahinoglu, 2013
graduated in May from Auburn University at Montgomery with a Biology major and a Pre-Health concentration. He was recently named a Chancellor’s Scholar, Auburn University at Montgomery’s highest award for scholarship and service. Sahinoglu plans to begin studies at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) at Auburn University in July 2017.
- Emily Prim , 2013
graduated from Auburn University College of Liberal Arts with a BA in Theatre in May 2017. While at Auburn, she served as President for AU Players. She is currently working at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival as a Camp Counselor and Teaching Artist in the education department.

graduated from Auburn University in 2016 with a BA in History. He is currently living in Houston and attending Baylor College of Medicine.
- Amelia Hanan, 2013
graduated magna Cume Laude from Auburn University with a degree in Psychology in May 2017. While at Auburn, she served as President of the Diamond Dolls, baseball hostess program. Her responsibilities included working special events, fundraising and philanthropic efforts, including Miracle League. In fall 2017 she will attend Occupational Therapy School at UAB.

was selected in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft as pitcher by the Milwaukee Brewers in June 2016.
- Austin Meadows, 2012
graduated Magna Cum Laude as an Honors Scholar from Auburn University in May 2016 with a BS in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Business Administration. He was accepted into the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Denitistry and began July 2016.

graduated from the University of Alabama in May 2016 with a BS in Biology and a BA in German language and literature. He moved to Birmingham in July to attend University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine.

Savannah graduated from the University of Alabama in May 2017. While at The University, she served as drum major for The Million Dollar Band. She has accepted a position as the Band Director at Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, AL.
- Halle Deemer, 2011
currently lives in Wilmore, Kentucky and is studying to get her Masters of Pastoral Counseling at Asbury Theological Seminary. She is also a certified candidate for ordained ministry in the Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. Once she finishes school she will become an ordained deacon in the United Methodist Church and her vocational goal is to become an associate pastor in a local church and specialize in counseling and discipleship. Her passion is to be with people and walk through life with them, in the good and the bad. She is also passionate about being an advocate for people and opening them up to the potential the Lord has given them, as well as raising future leaders in the Church.

graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama in the summer of 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Religious Studies. She recently moved to Atlanta, GA where she will be serving as a Youth Ministry Intern for the next two years at the Cathedral of St. Philip.

graduated Cum Laude from University of Alabama with a BS in Mathematics with a minor in Economics. He is attending graduate school and working towards a Master’s in Business Analytics. He was awarded a Graduate Research Assistant position, assigned to Hudson Alpha as an Economic Development Intern in Huntsville, AL.
- Mazie Bryant, 2010
has lived in New York for the past 2.5 years working as the Assistant Research Editor at Esquire Magazine. She will start law school at The University of Alabama in August 2017.
- Amy Shannon, 2010
is a second year Ph.D student in Carnegie Mellon University's Human Computer Interaction Institute. In addition to taking classes in design, computer science, and behavior and social psychology, she also conducts research on education technologies. For her most recent project, she designed and implemented a peer feedback system that allows students to provide feedback to their peers during in-class student presentations. This work was recently submitted to the ACM's SIGCHI conference. She enjoys the chilly Pittsburgh winters, playing Ultimate frisbee, and acting in musicals produced by a group of computer science graduate students.

lives in Birmingham, AL. Justin works for Christopher Architecture & Interiors as a Project Designer. He attributes much of his success to retired Saint James teacher, Mr. Jim Gunter. Thank you for being an educator devoted to seeing his students become more than they could imagine as artists and individuals.”

- Clark Hankins, 2008
is the Municipal Account Manager for the Lighting Services Department of Alabama Power.He helps municipalities throughout the state oversee the conversion of their street lighting and other commercial lighting to new LED lighting technology. He has been with Alabama Power for a little over two years. His previous position within the company was a Residential Marketing Representative in Auburn. Prior to Alabama Power, he worked for the Governor of Florida for 2 years in Tallahassee. He currently lives in Montgomery, Alabama where he continues to play in several adult recreational sporting leagues. He also helps as a volunteer goalkeeper coach for the YMCA Streaks. His passion is travel and exploration. Clark plans to attend Oktoberfest in Munich this year as well as continuing to progress in his advanced SCUBA certifications.

is a research analyst with the Center for Technology Innovation in the Governance Studies Program at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. Currently, she is working with a nonresident senior fellow, John D. Villasenor, and the founding director of the Center for Technology Innovation, Darrell M. West, on a multi-year project in the area of global financial inclusion.
Work co-authored by Robin was featured in the blog of Bill Gates among the “Top 6 Good-News Stories of 2015.” Gates explains his “short list” as the global news stories he felt were most positive for the year. Story #5, “Mobile Banking Exceeds Our Optimistic Projections,” references findings from the Brookings Institution’s 2015 Financial and Digital Inclusion Project (FDIP) Report and Scorecard, co-authored by Robin.

is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University and Harvard Medical School. He will be a fellow in the Division of Nephrology at Duke University School of Medicine beginning in July 2017. Winn is engaged to Theresa Renee. They plan to marry November 2017.

lives in Atlanta, Georgia and is the Manager of Business Development with HCR ManorCare.
- Laura Beth (Freeman) Jones, 2006
married Wes Jones in May 2016 at Alys Beach. In May 2017, they welcomed their daughter, Wesley Kate into the world. Laura Beth also graduated from Auburn University with a Master of Science in Nursing in May 2017. She plans to take a few months off to take care of her daughter, but plans on pursuing a family Nurse Practitioner job in the surrounding Lake Martin area. Her husband, Wes, works at Russell Medical Center in Alex City and they hope to build a home near by in the future.

works for Cushman & Wakefield as a Senior Associate. He was recently named one of the 2017 Power Leaders in Commercial Real Estate by the Nashville Business Journal. His wife Katie is an Interior Designer and runs Katie Gibson Interiors (www.katiegibsoninteriors.com) in Nashville.

moved from Washington, D.C. to New York City in November of 2015 to serve as Vice President and Government Affairs Counsel of Two Sigma Investments, a New York-based hedge fund. He married Christina Sample in October 2015 and they reside in the West Village area of Manhattan.

was ordained a Priest of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Mobile, AL in 2012. He currently serves as the Vocations Director for the Archdiocese of Mobile.
- Dr. Katie (Kruger) Powell, 2001
recently joined Children’s of Alabama as the state’s first Pediatric and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Dr. Powell also serves as an assistant professor in the UAB School of Dentistry’s Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Powell is married to Dr. Mark Powell, Anesthesiologist at UAB. The have two children, Emma Kathlyn, age 5 and Robert Reeves, age 2.
- Searcy (Yoder) Cunningham , 2001
recently joined the Partners Realty team as a residential agent in Montgomery. Searcy began her career at the Destin Area Chamber of Commerce. She lived in Nashville, TN and Orange Beach, AL before moving back home to Montgomery. Searcy and her husband, Will are the proud parents to 17 month old Will.

and his wife, Ragan, recently celebrated the birth of their daughter, Lila Blake Whittington in November. Kyle is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and recently became an owner of the independent wealth management firm, Meld Financial, Inc. in Birmingham. Ragan recently completed her PhD in Marriage & Family Therapy. Kyle and Ragan live in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
- Suzanna Wasserman , 2001
joined The Shoppes at EastChase in November 2015 as the Marketing Manager. She is responsible for the marketing, communication and business development efforts of the shopping center. She has more than eight years of experience with marketing and public relations. Prior to joining The Shoppes at EastChase, she was the Marketing Director for Eastdale Mall, Distinguished Events Specialist for the American Cancer Society, as well as the Program Coordinator for Leadership Development at the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce.She is involved heavily in the Montgomery community. She currently holds leadership positions with the Junior League of Montgomery, Child Protect, a Child Advocacy Center, and the American Advertising Federation. She has also served on the Community Council for the River Region United Way, Junior Executive Board for the American Cancer Society, Rebuilding Together Board and founded the World Adult Kickball Association in Montgomery in 2011.

- MIchelle (Motley) Giddens, 1994
is the Owner and Creative Director of The Art Studio in Auburn, AL . The Art Studio (www.theartstudioauburn.com) offers authentic art opportunities for children to grow as skilled artist and creative individuals. Prior to opening The Art Studio, she received a B.F.A. in Art Education from Georgia State University and a B.A. in Communication from Auburn University. She studied art in Cortona, Italy, and traveled to Rome, Florence, Naples and Venice. Michelle also taught elementary and middle school art in Roswell, GA. While teaching in Georgia, she helped develop the art curriculum and a school-wide Art Club. Michelle lives on a farm outside of Auburn with her husband, James, and two children Thomas and Andrew.

was elected Mayor of Anniston, AL in October 2016. He and his wife, Wendy, are both attorneys in Anniston. They have three children Lily Grace, Harper Lee and Mary Yonce. They enjoy family vacations to the beach and skiing.

was recently named Executive Vice President and CFO of Havertys Furniture Company. Havertys is headquartered in Atlanta and has 123 locations in 16 states. In addition, he was named to the Board of Directors of Gray Television also headquartered in Atlanta that owns 100 television stations across the country. Hare was previously the Senior Vice President and CFO of Carmike Cinemas until December 2016 when it was sold to AMC theatres. He and his wife Charlotte are the proud parents of two daughters (Margaret - 8th grader at Brookstone School in Columbus GA and Catherine - 12th grader at Chatham Hall School in Chatham Virginia)
- Laura (Vitty) Weaver, 1978
Laura and her husband, Dave are celebrating 10 years of marriage this year and continue to reside in NW Ohio with their children, Andrew and Rachel, and grandsons, Easton and Tanner. Laura is the Gifted Intervention Specialist for the gifted and talented program at Bowling Green City Schools in Bowling Green, OH. She is a member of the Ohio Association for Gifted Children where she serves as the NW Ohio Teacher Division representative and a presenter for the association's conferences in the fall and spring. She is currently enrolled at Bowling Green State University in the Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching program. In January of 2015, Laura's father, founder and former STJ Band Director, Deland Vitty, passed away in Montgomery at the age of 85. Laura and her sister, Jennie, are appreciative of all the donations made to the STJ Band program in his memory. Donations may continue to be made to the band program.
